2018 TdF on NBCSN this year...
Right on NBC. The tour-- all 21 stages apparently will be on a channel I get- (NBC Sports Network)- Liggett and Sherwin
Starts July 7th.
It'll be a long one... 120 miles, right out of the gate and on average it essentially is 21 centuries over 21 stages.
Anyone ever hang with the riders for a day on an indoor trainer from the start to the end of one of the long, flat stages (maybe, a bottle of red wine within reach)?

Who broadcasts the entire stage start to finish so you could hang with them on your trainer? I still don't have a trainer or rollers though I've considered them for the last half-dozen or so winters.
Do some of the web connected trainers give you a simulation of each stage? And automatically adjust the resistance to simulate the wind load and grade conditions? If so, that might be neat and give some motivation for me to get one and actually use it. Though I'd hope it also has some way to allow me to factor in a handicap setting to offset the fact that I don't have the physical ability of the pro's I'd be competing against.
Not so much to give me a good score, but I don't want to still be pedaling several hours after the gruppetto crosses the line.

I believe if you watch the stage on the NBC Sports app and stream it to the TV they show the entire stage. if you watch it on the NBC Sports TV channel you get a reader's digest version

The morning broadcast is almost all live, sometimes they join (when French TV allows) within the first miles of a state, mountain stages are usually start to finish. I TiVO the morning broadcast and watch after work so I can finish before the evening re-broadcast is over around 11PM

this is corect. They condense it to fit schedule of programming. They do air it live sometimes and that is nice too. I am just glad my cable provider has a channel that covers it so I can enjoy it. Even if I get sometimes condensed versions.

It's been broadcasted on NBCSN for the past few years. I enjoy it. If you miss the morning, they do tend to replay it at some point during the night.
Looking forward to it!
