Tubless with Mavic Ksyrium Disks

Notices
Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

Tubless with Mavic Ksyrium Disks

Has anyone gone tubeless with Mavic Ksyrium Disks and Conti GP 4000's? I was about to give it a go when I started reading all this stuff about only going tubeless with tubeless specific wheels and tires.

GP 4000s are not a tubeless tire. The better question would be if anyone has used a tubeless tire other than Yksion's on a Mavic UST rim like something like Schwalbe pro ones or Giant Gavia or something else that is tubeless compatible at least. Personally I have ran only Yksion's on my Mavic UST wheels in a tubeless application. I have ran GP4000 IIs, but only with tubes on those rims.

I would not run GP4Ks tubeless. Tubeless tires on a non-tubeless rim conversion generally works ok. Non-tubeless tires on non-tubeless rims is a big no-no IMO.
