They'd burn through the full 10-year supply on your posts alone.
He's not selecting a color - he's asking for permission, from a bunch of internet strangers, to like an existing color on a bike that he's interested in. What are we going to do - tell him that it's reminiscent of jonquil daffodils at sunrise and hope that'll change his mind enough to make it acceptable?

Is a comment like this really necessary?

I agree there are too many of the same look bikes on the road: black bar tape, black frame with white decals.
I'm not so fond of the black and yellow, but you could do things with the yellow (grey was mentioned, that'd look really nice) to make it different.
I'd go for the purple. White and grey work really well with purple, and it's a rare enough colour.

I didn't think so. I just thought everyone would think the clip was funny. Guess not. I guess people who don't "get" the nuance of a subject, or don't care about it, can't imagine how anyone else might want to think about it, so they can't recognize the difference between soliciting opinions to consider and soliciting validation. I'm just not sure why they get so cranky about it, but it seems to happen a lot.

Honestly though, I'd rock it. My current road bike I painted fluorescent orange. I'm considering a new bike and the one I really like the specs of is just plain black with white accents and the boringness of the color is really holding me back.

Well, we can terminate this thread. I just found out that the CAAD12 Ultegra is only being shipped in black. Purple and Yellow aren't available in the US.

[QUOTE=Robert A;20543012]In the market for a new CAAD12 and noticed that Hot Yellow is listed as an option on the Cannondale USA website. I'm curious what everyone's opinions are. Does this color rock or not?
ROCK!
ROCK!

The yellow rocks, but it is not the right choice. The right choice is the purple.

I'm all about color but like contrast as well. The yellow Cannondale is very nice but I'd love to see some contrast. Not sure of the model year but a fellow I ride with has the hottest red Cannondale I've ever seen with great black lettering and other bits of black on the frame. Great red though. Too bad about this not being available in the US. I know that more people go for the black and such but nice to have some offerings even if in lower quantities to suit the market.

Yellow, yes. Purple, no. Unless you're fast enough to ride purple.
