Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

After I physically added those rides to Strava, and complained to Tapiriik for lack of syncing, they synced. I don't have it in me to go back through it just now. Let the record show that I beat out Mike F. just once.

He has, I think, two posts during this round. Otherwise?

Happy New year, all. I've got a pot of ham and black eyed pea soup simmering on the stove. Minus the ham as of yet.

Found a 10 dollar phone mount in Target so I could try out the Zwift companion app. Shooting to do the park perimeter loop tonight to see how I'm feeling. A smart person would rest.

Hope all have a happy and safe celebration!

Our local Mexican joint was handing out complimentary sopapillas for dessert tonight, in celebration of NYE.

Just 3 hours to go. I won’t regret seeing 2018 fade away, an epic accumulation of medical scares for me this year. At one point I thought I was actually getting old, can you believe that?

Looks like the Utes are going to lose in the Holiday bowl. Gave up 28 points in the third quarter against the Northwestern. currently it's 30-21 with 4 minutes to play.

it was 70 here today and it felt good riding in bibs and long sleeved Jersey only and that was too much. I am feeling tired now, of course the bubbly I am consuming is contributing to that.

It was windy here today and now it's raining.

Dang, looks like it's not on OTA TV here. Sad for us cordcutters.

We did get to see the Ducks eek out a win today, though!!!
