Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You can get some of those weightlifter specific jeans with wide guads.

I used to buy my uniform khaki pants in "athletic" cut to accommodate my guads, but I probably didn't need to and I certainly wouldn't need to now.

@WhyFi you apparently live in the 4th most bike friendly city in the US-

https://www.bicycling.com/culture/a2...e-cities-2018/

Clearly independent of the seasonal weather...

That reminds me - I was going to tell you to get your itinerary nailed down soon or you're going to be looking at a fat bike rental instead of a road bike.

Oh, and we've been ranked #1 & #2 recently.

HTFUing can be problematic in skinny pants.

If it matters to you, don't look at what the markets did today. Just don't.

Hey, @BillyD, we had a presentation at work today and I thought of you. For part of it, they showed this clip. For anyone else interested in Lyme disease, I found it interesting. On good authority, a better, FDA-approved diagnostic test could be showing up about 5 years.

Yea, at this point I'll probably just plan to visit Milwaukee at some point in November instead and not do any riding, since that's one of the areas I'm responsible for as well, I haven't heard anything from the higher ups on this trip. Maybe next spring I'll convince them to ship me to MSP with a bike.

Wow, Pizza Hut found some even less healthy "food" to distribute with their "food."

Like. I'll admit I have eaten "food" from Pizza Hut. Back when I was a broke student: the local restuarant did an all you can eat buffet. I did get value for my money.
Nowdays you'd have to pay me to eat from Pizza Hut.

Oh yeah. We've all taken that plunge, because something in the belly wins, when money is a huge object. I drop on down to the Taco Bell level here and there, because sometime you want actual food, other times, nothing but Taco Bell will do.

Yeah, instead of the DOW being up slightly over 18% the last 12 months, now it's slight over 12%. Dang, only 12%.

Of course, but that’s never how it feels. Anyway, if we’re to have a recession, let it start before the mi... Oh, that’s right. Not here.
