Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Indeed. More flair is needed.

On a bright note, my lens adapter should arrive today.

So if I have enough energy tonight, after dinner, I will strap on my MAGIC SHINE 900 LUMEN headlight and take the CX bike onto the MUP to play around with the new shoes/pedals.

No rain on day one. No snow on day two. The course was fairly dry. The sun even came out on Saturday.

Ended up being a one-pair day each day. I did change socks, after I got cleaned up at home.

Slept in. Four CX races, local cycling fund-raiser, and a night at the opera wiped me out.

It's looking like the cold and windy season is settling in for real. It may be time to take those fancy Reynolds wheels off the Habanero for the year. Sad!

At first glance, I thought it was a terrorist with a gun. Only for a second.

I'm the only one in the Philly office today. Went into the hallway to get the newspapers. As soon as I heard the door lock I realized I had left my wallet with pass card on my desk. Had to get security to let me in.

Last week I was talking to a co-worker about the possibility of that happening.

Not too far off of my initial though, which was a paintballer wearing a ghillie suit. In my defense, this was on the small screen of my phone.
