Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I carry a spare but haven't used it since I bought it since my mental condition hasn't deteriorated yet to the state where I forget to charge the ones on my bike. Reported weight is 57g or 2 oz. but I offset that on my trike with titanium front axles.

Mostly harvested as are the corn and beans. Still some beans around but very little corn at all.

Weather changes coming! It will be in the 70's for Wednesday's ride but in the 40's for Saturday's. Sad!

How tall are the average corn stalks there?

Has this been discussed in the 41 recently?

Maybe it's time for another thread?

They vary according to seed and whether it's seed corn or regular corn. I'm 5'7" and it's over my head by quite a bit. What's more interesting to me is how dense the planting is. Because we are in such a fertile area and due to gps planting by soil type and other soil characteristics, the corn is so dense that you can hardly walk into it. I'm always amazed when riding in other parts of the country and you have to walk 10 rows in to pee. Here, 1-2 rows and you're fully hidden from the road and if you walk 10 rows in, you'll never find your way out.

Seriously, I've ridden in many areas of the country where I wondered why they bothered to grow corn and beans.

Mrs. T update: She walks a little bit and looks pretty healthy. We have a discharge meeting on Wednesday. Hope to get her home this weekend which will be three weeks, a full week ahead of the original estimate.

For some reason, our new house doesn't have ADA toilets so I had to buy a couple yesterday. That's tonight's or tomorrow's project.

That's awesome!

ADA toilets are better all around. Well, except for my Mom. I put one in her bathroom and she complains that her feet don't touch the floor.

I think I may have overmatched the Raleigh by a hair. The new tyres are sweet, though!

@datlas
Probably related to poor fit. I don’t seem to have any problems.
