Today I received a pair of cycling shoes from @MoAlpha.

Just checked the forecast. Apparently Fall decided to give us 1 hour notice on its appearance. High today is 81 with 90% humidity and afternoon thunderstorms (hurricane remnants), tomorrow the lows are in the high 40s with 50% humidity. Guess I'll go from no base layer to full warmers overnight.

While Knoxville may not have as many bike lanes as the top cities, it's hosting a research project which could make a big difference for cyclists everywhere. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is using the city as a testing grounds for a safe passing law study. “The police department will be actively enforcing the safe passing law using a 3 foot detection device that uses sonar. Meanwhile a group of civilians will be riding with these detection devices outfitted on bikes to gather data on motorists behavior,” says Amy Johnson, a cyclist, advocate, and bike-focused lawyer in the community.
