Indeed. Will give them a chance to make it right. But this lens is basically unmarketable at this point if you're being honest. Hard to believe they didn't notice the issue.

Since we're talking 50s, I picked up a Zeiss Planar 50/1.4 a couple weeks ago in a ZF (Nikon) mount. Unlike JT's guy, the seller waaaaaay oversold a rear element scratch and it scared off most bidders. I figured that I'd test it out and see when/if it showed up in pics and at what apertures (most likely at very small apertures like f/11 or f/16). When I got the lens, though, I couldn't even find the damn scratch with unaided eyes, so I didn't even bother with any formal testing. Less than $180 shipped and it's a beautiful performer - what a steal.

It's been over 12 weeks and everything shows up as healed but she still has quite a bit of back pain and her arm and hand swell. Her hand burns, also, besides swelling. Ortho limb specialist says there is nothing wrong so he's going to send her to another specialist for pain management. I've seen her hand balloon up and turn mottled when it hangs downward so he's full of poop to say there is nothing wrong with it.
Same with the back guy. He says x-rays look good so if she's still having pain, it's muscular. That's nice. So she asks how long it will continue to hurt and he just shrugs his shoulders.
Absolutely sick of docs, her docs and mine, both. No offense to the Addiction docs who are stellar.

If it's 105 level, it really doesn't get any better, functionally. Bells and whistles mayhap.

Lenses. A refreshing topic. Can knives be far behind? Any new stroopwaffle flavors for the season?

Would you prefer that we went back to the previous topic, which was, if memory serves, crickets chirping? Or maybe we could ***** about everything that came after indexed shifting? I'll follow your lead.

...and, hey, a swelling, painful, burning hand after an injury is not at all normal and the pain doc is an extremely good idea.

Riding in the midwest, singletrack around here is mostly dirt and roots, not many big rocks so rollover capability didn't matter as much to me. I definitely suggest testing both on trails if you decide to go this route. I am 59 and have been riding both road and mountain for years, but just switched from a hardtail to a full suspension this year. Should have done it years ago. Trails are a really nice change from road. More thinking on picking your line and being in the right gear, less chance of getting run over. The trees do occasionally jump in front of you though. Enjoy the hand wringing

It wasn't a sarcastic post. It really is refreshing. The days of me (intentionally)stirring up trouble are gone.

She has an appointment but it's not until after the first of the year. The specialist's scheduler said to call daily in case they get a cancellation. What has happened to medicine that intakes months to see a doctor?

Ok so Puppy Love has Earthdog practice on Dec 28.
Then I’m going to take her to a Dachshund Field Trial on Dec 29 +/- Dec 30 (two trials over two days). I wasn’t sure about the Field Trials, I know nothing about them or how to prepare. But I’m told her aunt will be there, Auntie is very good at them and will show her how it’s done. We shall be seeking rabbit.
Rats on Friday, Rabbits on Sat and Sun. She will think she has died and gone to heaven. Throw in a squirrel and we shall achieve Nirvana

I second the full suspension trail bike recommendation. I tested both 29 and 27.5 and ended up with 27.5 because it felt quicker and more responsive. 29 certainly rolled better and accelerated downhill really well, but going fast downhill isn't what I was looking for.

Warning: High quality cycling content forthcoming.
I rode after work today and it was so nice to blow off some steam. this makes 3 days in a row. It was a little chilly on the trail as the sun went down but not terrible. My headlight and taillight are working well. Planning on another post work ride tomorrow. No spikes in heart rate noted.
I'm not passive aggressive, I'm just aggressive. Who wouldn't be, I have the awesome shovel swagger. It's a thing.
