Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seems okay.

A couple similar bars:

Cinelli Ram weighs in the 450 gram area
FSA K-wing weighs in the 250 gram area

All this great info can be found at https://weightweenies.starbike.com/li...roadhandlebars

Take a look at the Eminenza Aero Carbon 285g and Ghisallo HR-003 250g. They look pretty snappy too.

In reality, it seems the weight of bars has much more to do with their shape than with the material their made of. The carbon k-wings weigh only about 30g less than the al wing-pro, and Deda's lightest al bar comes in at around 200g and Eastons EC90 carbon bar also comes in around 200g--not a whole lot of difference in the end in terms of weight. I think about all carbon has (in terms of bars) over al is increased stiffness, slight reduction in road vibration, and of course the all important governing bling factor!!

I'd suggest taping from the bar ends to just past the shifter/brake hoods. This way you have something to grip during springs and standing climbing, but leaves the top exposed to get the most "use-ability" out of the finger grooves.
