Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I was on holiday with my family. I was staying at my parents who are luddites and don't have Wifi and I don't like browsing bf on my phone. I did take a bike with me on my travels. I managed to get several 30km bike rides while I was away on holiday. I also managed to get some hikes in as well. It was a good holiday. I did however eat a lot more food than I burned off.

I think the thread title is accurate.

Chris Fowler's play by play of this game is over the top. He needs to turn it down a few notches. Way over dramatic. YMMV.

Yes. Now I have a cold.

This cold may cut into my riding. I was supposed to go MTB-ing tomorrow.

I'm just gonna back off on the riding. Every summer, in the ungodly heat and humidity, I ask myself why I have such low mileage in the winter.
A) Winter is also the time to do many other things in comfortable weather
B) My knees suffer in winter, unless I maintain a steady diet of NSAIDs
C) I call poppycock on the theory that attitude alone can prevent it.

What an epic broadcast team that was - Frank, Howard, and Dandy Don. There may never be another team on that level.
