Why? 3 reasons I shall list. In no particular order.
1. I am frugal
2. You can only ride 1 at a time.
3. I am only interested in road cycling.

I've started throwing a lightweight rubber ball the last couple days to see what the repaired shoulder can do. Time to start getting ready for the softball season. Feels good, no pain but obviously the throwing strength needs work. Tomorrow I'll try throwing actual softballs and measure the progress.

Lyme.
I plan to try to increase my cycling this season, but a fast twitch short burst sport like softball is more doable with lyme than an endurance activity like cycling. When it takes you 4 or 5 days to recover from a single bike ride then whatever enjoyment you had goes right out the window.

She lusted after it almost immediately after its announcement (almost immediately after she got the R3) and the substantial amount of elevation change and possibility of encountering nasty-weather thermoclines on the bike course made her skittish about using a tri bike there.
