Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

The disc brakes, to be clear, are a side effect and not a deciding factor in the purchase. Lust was the real deciding factor, and who am I to judge? Lord knows she can afford it, and she's working right now.

Yes,1 is the correct number. It is not true that 1 is the loneliest number.

Why? 3 reasons I shall list. In no particular order.
1. I am frugal
2. You can only ride 1 at a time.
3. I am only interested in road cycling.
It is that simple, like me. But you already knew that. I know it is sacrilege to say that in this thread but I make my own rules.

Interesting. Last P5 I saw in the wild was that color, with I thought, that type of graphic. Memory, but alas, I'm old.

Her R3, which this will replace, is that exact same color as well. And yes, the P5 is available with that color. As was... one of the lesser Ps from a year or two ago.

Fluo green is in, and has been for a few years. It's interesting; I thought this was going to be a cakewalk to identify.

Re: staying, maybe.
Bikes are cool. I am lusting after a new one and am ashamed of myself. It is 15 years old. The only thing is there is really nothing wrong it so why replace it. I think if I have to make a big $ repair I will get a new one instead.

When is the big reveal of the new bike?

So what you're saying is there will be spreadsheets and graphs?

I'm lost. I can't see you going with Trek or spesh. BMC doesn't do that color, I don't believe, even though their stuff is screaming fast.

I was unaware. Thanks for the update.

And no Trek disc yet. I don't think QR PRsix comes in that color.

Whew, got most nights booked for the steam train following in May. Unfortunately I couldn't get a room in Laramie, but gonna try to book a room at the Virginian tomorrow:

Pre-Irish. Irish was a runner, which is one reason it didn't work out.

Correct on both counts (she won't even look at those two), and BMC sticks to more traditional colors.

To hint a bit, it's an aero road bike, not a tri bike. She lusted after it almost immediately after its announcement (almost immediately after she got the R3) and the substantial amount of elevation change and possibility of encountering nasty-weather thermoclines on the bike course made her skittish about using a tri bike there.

Real guess would be a C'dale - they have the stripey-stripes like that on some of their current offerings (like before Phil Gaimon's rides before his recent swap to Nove).

Is it the biggest advancement in cycling over the past 30 years??
