Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Turn off water supply. Look at that valve. See what looks like bayonet lugs? Twist it counterclockwise and it should pop right out. Now for the fun part. Turn water supply back on and water will shoot to the ceiling flushing out the debris. That's why the vid in that link suggests putting a plastic cup over it. Check for any visible dirt and reassemble.

Italian wall sockets make my head hurt. Who's surprised?

Also, it's annoying that most travel adapters are flimsy "universal" huge boxes with an output port and maybe some USB ports. What I'd like is a USB power hub of the sort that the locals would use, with a bunch of super-powered USB ports and an actual cable to the wall so it doesn't block everything else and trip the wall socket on/off switch. In many cases, it should just be a different cable into the hub, but dmaned if anyone will sell them to me here that I can find. Amazon.co.uk will ship to the US, but amazon.it won't. And there's no way of telling what plugs the hotel will have.

I am appreciating the wonder of the UK type G plug.

Maybe I am missing something here, but all you would need for most of Europe is a few of these: Travel adapter

Then you can plug in your standard US high power USB adapter as most will work on European voltage anyway. If you need more us outlets, a cheap powerstrip plugged into the adapter can give you ~5 us outlets from one European outlet. This is what I have done in Europe many times.

Busy day: Monday breakfast with riding buds; cancer doctor appointment; short ride, maybe groceries, recline-o-lounger and TV.

Just think how productive I could be if I jumped out of bed and got my day going, instead of first turning on the computer. That, of course, would be dependent upon whether I had anything requiring my attention. I would like to get out and ride of an early morn.
