Our department's holiday outing got postponed.
We are going here on Monday:

I am thinking the chicken liver on toast and the shaved veal and pork belly sandwich.

That better be some gooood Grüner Veltliner...
Wife's partners are having a dinner tomorrow to welcome a new one. Good restaurant, but not quite as interesting as that one.

4. Dinner and wine later with friends.
5. Field Trial tomorrow. And Sunday.

It always seems weird to me that people cram in all of these holiday parties in December - to the point where you have to decline some of them because of the scheduling conflicts. And then you get into Jan or Feb, and there is not much going on at all. In some ways it would make more sense to have a delayed holiday party in late Jan when everyone has been cooped up indoors for a month or so, and there aren't many parties planned. And Super Bowl doesn't count.

@Rowan. My wife has a Catrike 700 on rollers but trike riding isn’t really her passion. Her back hurts too much for her upright so I haven’t even mounted it on the trainer.

For the record, I think vegans/vegetarians taste good, especially cows.

Speaking of vegetables, my wife asked me if there was anything that I needed at the grocery store. I told her to pick up some kohlrabi and she came home with bok choy.

We get it once or or twice a season from our CSA and I have tried various things, the best of which is cutting it up into fat matchsticks, roasting the dog **** out of it in the convection oven, and serving over pasta with garlic oil and Parmesan. Always looking for ideas.

Going to start a little work now so I have the afternoon free. Going to rain all weekend so I will have a chance to do different things.
Starting off the day right:

It’s cold and dark, but the flesh must be mortified and it’s not snowing. Perhaps the scenic and gravelly MUP by the river...

You do cool things in cool places, and if I didn't have my awesome shovel and awesome Marigold jacket I would be envious.
