I just got off phone with AT&T. They canceled the account. They were able to tell me the account was opened at an AT&T store (in person, not online) in Virginia. Mrs datlas watches our credit card statements like a hawk (which is good and bad, makes it impossible to get bike schwag under the radar!) so my best guess is the culprit only has my name/address/ssn, which is not the end of the world but still a nuisance.

I believe it.
I just checked my free credit report to see if anything suspicious. Apparently someone opened up a credit card account with my name and SSN but an address in Indianapolis last year, and charged $500 which was never paid, and the account was closed leaving a bad mark on my credit report.
I called the bank in question and asked them to see if they can clear that, and they told me I need to report this fraud to my local police dept. and send them the police report.
I somehow don't think the Malvern police will want to be bothered with identity theft. Sigh.

Wont make you feel better, but my whole Top Secret clearance investigation is out there too. Probably 30 bucks.

Just make sure that you save the PIN that you use for the freeze - you will need it again when you need to unfreeze (if you wanted to buy a car, for example).

Sorry, @datlas. And this is the year of datlas too. Today was the last day with my sisters. We started out the day at the Mayapan ruins; then went on a cenote tour, and lunch. And were home at 4:30. They fly out bright and early tomorrow morning. And then life will return to normal.

The awesome Marigold jacket proved itself today. I rode after work as the sun was going down and noticed it was chilly. The high today was supposed to be 50 so I figured it would be in the upper 40's. I didn't wear my booties or winter gloves just my regular gloves. It was way colder than I anticipated and my face, toes and hands froze. As it turns out, it was 36 at the start and 32 when I called it quits. My core was just right thanks to the awesome Marigold jacket.

BB, crankset, stem and bar got thrown at the Basso. Put the ol' Fuji fork in and realized it's bent!!! Maybe I'll try to bend it back tomorrow. Suppose I should do my taxes so they can sit and wait for the IRS to open again, then as soon as that refund gets back I can grab a Columbus fork.

Is this still the thread for ?
If so, maybe someone can tell me: why do I now seem to have a few rogue hair follicles on the top of my ear? How is it that hairs from these follicles can spring to life overnight, fully-formed and and ~inch long?
Thanks in advance.

I've never understood these things, either. Considering that my last T test was <50, why am I able to grow more hair now and in more places than I've ever had before?

I fortuitously caught a CC account that was opened in my name before the balance transfer could be processed. Definitely have the credit monitoring agencies put a fraud alert on your credit. About a month after I did, someone tried to open another CC account using my information. Thanks to the fraud alter, the bank called me to make sure it was legit. The first account had a phone number for a nurses station at a Houston, TX hospital. The woman from the bank told me there was a big ID theft ring working out of Houston. I think my information was stolen from the Rothman Institute. Maybe a month or two earlier I had gone there for an MRI and filled out paper work that had my info on it, as well as my mom's name as emergency contact. The first account had two cards. One with my name and one with my mom's. Where else would they have gotten all that information in one place. I'll bet people in hospitals were stealing and trading information.

Just consider those hairs as a visible metaphor for the genetically determined changes in your personality and cognitive capacities, which are happening just as surely.

@LesterOfPuppets I may have said this before, not sure, but I remember that color scheme when it came out many moons ago. It was striking back then and it still is.
For the rest of you, the color(s) is very pleasing in person.
