Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I would be willing to try it. Maybe just a little dusting of cocoa powder along with olive oil?

Uncorrect. Nothing tastes good after it's been dipped in chocolate.

I'd bet it's because a lot of their inventory is on loan... and they sent it back to the mfgrs. But still, damn, that's empty.

Would that then be his sister on the right, then? IIRC, there was something very odd about their relationship...

Insulinoma dog #2 had surgery today. The mass was removed, along with a giant lymph node nearby.

Also today one of the internal med docs says to me, "Hey I have a dog referred over for hypoglycemia, insulin level pending, BG was 45 at presentation, 55 at recheck, fed the dog it had a seizure and BG was normal at 110. Should I start an anticonvulsant?"

Yes that is probably going to be insulinoma #3 in three weeks.

Busy day. Must not be as nice out as it is here. Still on the chilly side. We had clear skies and peak eclipse at 10:30 and we both spaced it and went to sleep. I shared my half pint of whiskey with Commander Cody (not the dog) in a beer and wine bar he was playing. On a much further from fame brush, I was lovers with Bill Vitt's ex-wife. He was the drummer in Merle Saunders' band.

One more to go until he's reached the optimal number of vehicle wheels. So sayeth we all on bike forums.

So which of you has the safer job -- the doctor or the truck driver. Let me figure it out...

Irrespective of that, good thing he is still alive. And you, too.

I saw my hospital doctor again today for a regular check. Things continue improving, but she has written another certificate for another month off work -- which has several reasons that aren't quite as bad as they used to be, but need a little careful healing time..

And it might also mean I can get my driver's licence back. Under the law here, anyone who suffers a serious brain injury in a non-driving incident, has to hand in their licence until medically cleared -- which is happening now with psycho and doctor OKs, and an eyesight one at the end of January.

There are still some seemingly unsolvable issues with my left foot and leg, and we shall see how the next year goes with the medical opinion of a neurologist that self-healing is the likely way to go. Bicycle riding sure does help, along with walking and a tiny bit of running..

I also have some further work to do on a head and neck issue with a physical exercise person who has brain issues as a specialist area..
