Addiction LXXIII

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This is the other infamous guy from my high school. His house was even closer.

Smart, too: Every time he booted up that gov't computer he saw a splash screen telling him was being watched.

Fresh fish usually doesn't smell fishy. I cook fish several times/week and my house never has a fishy smell. An exception might be something like blue fish, which has a high oil content.

Maybe you can come over and do an in-service for my staff?

Just go ahead and be a french shower. It's not the end of the world. You'll get more "respect" and the staff will be kept busy talking about you behind your back, instead of cooking fish in the microwave.

Just saw that Minneapolis set a new record for snowfall in February - 31.5” and the month is nowhere over. .

I’ll quit complaining about my weather, now.

I won't. We've had 6.75" of rain this month and more coming tomorrow and Saturday.

Could be worse. We had some bananas ripen way more quickly than expected, so I had to make some banana bread the other day.

I had a couple hours of clearing the roof and shoveling yesterday. The worst part about shoveling now is that you have to lift the snow up about 3' before you can dump it out.

Maybe microwaving has something to do with it. While I have re-heated dishes with fish in them (e.g., the grouper risotto I made earlier in the week), I can't recall ever nuking an actual piece of fish, whether already cooked or raw.

I had an aunt and uncle who owned a Xmas tree farm in Traverse City. I remember seeing head-high snow paths to the out buildings and such.

Ugh. I'd be tempted to set up a hoops and canopy path between buildings at the start of winter.

The one saving grace with the accumulated snow at this point, is that the snow banks are now too high for the snow plows to re-bury my sidewalks when they go by.

Possible impact on someone's cycling activities.

Q: How many TDOT folks does it take to determine this is a problem?

I had to drive slowly the last two days due to the water hazards.

Having a mid-ride lunch break. I’m channeling my inner-datlas and having a salad.

I forgot got my money but no problem. Apple Pay to the rescue.

The sun is shining and it’s a balmy 36° with light winds.

Dentist checkup later after I finish my ride and have an invigorating shower. #HappyTeeth
