The Newest and Most Improved Hot or Not

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I agree. I bought the bike with aluminum seat mast, bars and stem. I happened to have spare stem and bars (CF) at home. I plan to upgrade to Ultegra or Dura Ace, along with the bars (maybe integrated)

I had a brief stint on the Pro Stealth, didn't work great for me, but could see how it would for others. If it doesn't pan out, shoot me a PM. I have about four saddles you may want to try out. A few other forum members and I have been passing them around so people can try before buying. One that may be nice for you on the trainer is the Infinity saddle. Still the most comfortable saddle for long hours of not moving around too much I've ever been on, but I couldn't reconcile with the width, nor frankly the aesthetics. I also have a Fabric Line saddle with carbon rails and a Bontrager Affinity with Carbon Rails. The fabric is a scoop style, the Bontrager similar to you current Toupe (which for me has still been the best)

I've had the Stealth for a few weeks, now - it's been very good. With my older bibs, ones that are relegated to trainer duty, it's perfect on the trainer - not a hint of numbness over a typical one hour session. The funny thing is that numbness will slowly creep in with my 'good' bibs (they have a slightly thicker chamois), but that usually means standing once for 10 seconds on an hour session, which is much better than the Toupe. I've only been outside on the Stealth once so far - it was brilliant.

The tissue over my sit bones is tender. I bought a new Tarmac some years ago and my bud who ran the shop encouraged me to try the Toupe saddle that came with it. He said if I didn't like it he'd take care of me when I switched it out. I was in reasonable cycling shape at the time. On my first ride I only made it 20 miles. I ended up with bruises. We are all built differently.

Bike is done. Theme here is OEM+ with Tektro calipers being swapped over to 5800s (making the bike a true full 5800 bike), and Shimano RS010 anchors and Conti Ultrasports dropped in favor of a nice shiny pair of Zondas and GP 5000s. Specialized cages in red and white that match the bike perfectly (Colnago ones absolutely sucked and ejected bottles left and right, don't waste your money), and what you can't see is a red and black Wahoo Elemnt Bolt that also matches the bike.

If only I were fit enough to dump a couple spacers...

EDIT: Replaced picture with one with better white balance.

To be honest, I never wanted disc brakes.

I got a screaming deal on this because it has disc brakes, but now I'm sold on them.

I see the primer is dry. What color are they going to paint it? So, we are going from murdered out to monochrome or something close. Not feeling it. Maybe if it was an appealing color or had some accents. Very dull. Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Not to pile on, but the matching colored cables make it look like a rattlecan paint job.

That would look 100% better with a black seat and bar tape.

Nice but would be better with some accents of color. And I don’t mean the tires. I’d like dark blue tape and matching seat.

Look What's Coming in the Mail Next Week

Look 785 Huez RS, Sram AXS, Enve SES 3.4s. Size: XS. Built to spec by wrenchscience.com. On its way for delivery next week. I will cut down the excess steerer, adjust the bar angle and lever position, etc., after I have a chance to confirm/refine the fit. (NOTE: I did not take this photo, so there's no need to comment on the specifics of the photo.)

Hmm. Where is it written that I have to take the photo myself? The photo was taken by the dealer (Wrench Science, in Berkeley, CA), who is shipping the bike to me this week. It is a custom-ordered bike, built to my spec. The photo is of the actual bike, which is on the UPS truck right now. It's not a stock photo, if that's what you are implying.

Kinda, sorta defeats the purpose of posting a pic of your bike in this thread. So if I get someone to take a pic of my bike and I post it here, does that mean it's "off limits" to critique or comments? JMHO
Cheers
