The Newest and Most Improved Hot or Not

Road Cycling ďIt is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.Ē -- Ernest Hemingway

I think that he was saying that it wasn't necessary to discuss some of the photographic aspects, not that we couldn't weigh in on the bike itself.

As for the bike, it's hot (for a little person bike )

Good eye for detail, but no, it's not a quick release fork. It's the Mavic Speed Release system.

It's all good. When playing the 'hot or not' game, one must be prepared for a negative reaction.

Under no circumstances will any bike with a stack of stem spacers and the stem upside down ever be hot.

I see you have 2 other road bikes in your sig, do they look like this in fit? If so, have you ever considered one size smaller?

1) No.
2) One size smaller would require that I lay out more than I'm comfortable with.

I've tried larger, but I don't like the feel. I'm not trying to race, just ride.

If youíre comfortable on it itís the right bike for you. If I had to guess by looking at the seat setback Iíd say you may want to consider the old KOPS test and see if youíre too far back, hence the need to shorten the reach. Just my 2c. Iím tall as well with a very high seat and just given the setback that the seat tube gives me at that height I need a zero offset post, or the seat slid up.

I have longer arms than usual for my height. I have been fitted on all my bikes, including seat mapping.

I feel like it has potential though. If the stem and seatpost matched colors, and the seat angle didnt look as if it were actively trying to maim genitals, it might be hot.

But yes, as is, it's a bike only a color blind eunuch could love

I'll throw this recently built up old ride. It's a NOS Vitus Argal from the mid 90's just built up with Ultegra R8000.
