Combo mounts for Garmin
I am looking for a combo mount for my Garmin 810 unit and NiteRider Lumina headlight (I already got the adapter). Any decent priced suggestions?

I've got a Bar Fly mount on all my bikes: https://barflybike.com/collections/r...opro-light-di2

+1 to Bar Fly.
They may not be as fancy or sleek like other brands (e.g. K-Edge), but they get the job done. |
i use this
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bike-Stem-E...-MIg:rk:3:pf:0 with this https://www.amazon.com/Best-Tek-Nite...8590471&psc=1s It works great, and doesn't cost a fortune. |
Bar Fly 4 Max
K Edge Combo Best Tek (K Edge knockoff) A slightly different flavor of the K Edge knockoff ...and there are even more of the K Edge clones out there, lots of 'em. I can't speak to any of them, as I have both a K Edge XL and a Bar Fly 4 Max. I have absolutely no issue spending $50-60 to securely mount the $300+ computer on the bike. |
As a sidebar to you Cateye lovers like me who can't stand the complexity or screen of a Garmin, many of these mounts will mount a Cateye computer...with a small conversion piece that rotates into the Garmin base. Reason I mention it is, Garmin type mounts are so much nicer that Cateye mounts and you can have the elegance of a Garmin mount with a Cateye like the Padrone what I use.
I just want a big, legible, inexpensive computer and the Cateye Padrone delivers. Speaking of Garmin, if you like heartrate on the bike which I like for aggressive group riding, the Garmin Forerunner 235 is a hellova heart rate watch where you don't have to wear a chest strap and you can even save your rides as with full size Garmin computers. Also to know, I am fussy about ergonomics and the watch is featherlight and even with HR wrist detection, you forget about the watch being on except when you want to look at your HR. I prefer this combo to a computer with HR. YMMV I don't need or want nav and don't ride with a powermeter and trying to keep it that way. :) |
Thanks so much for recommendations, you guys are awesome!

https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...a92445e86c.jpg Here is some info. How I like to roll is...I can't really stand Garmin GPS computers. Big fan of their GPS watches with wrist HR detection however. So I like to roll a Cateye Padrone with nice big legible simple screen...run them on most of my bikes...but don't feel the same love for Cateye mounts. Garmins have the coolest and most secure mounts. Welcome the aftermarket: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bicycle-Stem-Top-Cap-Computer-Stopwatch-Mount-Holder-for-Garmin-Bryton-Cateye-US/173651638893?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649 Asian companies have created a conversion piece which nests to Garmin mounts with different computers. Ideally I would like to buy just the little Cateye to Garmin conversion piece but can't find it separately anywhere on the web. If somebody knows a source, please post if you would...also would be simple to 3D print but the guy with the 3D CAD file ain't talkin' ;) . Check out the pic. You can figure out how it works. The conversion piece rotates into position like a Garmin computer. But it is a receptacle for a Cateye no doubt you will recognize. Works beautifully btw and a godsend for Cateye lovers. Below pls see this arrangement on my new Cervelo. I started the Cervelo's life with the new Edge 130. Hated it. It sucked big time IMO of course. Fiddly and crappy font. Wanted my Padrone back. But loved the Garmin mount...and the one shown is made by Garmin and a popular basic mount but other companies like K-edge makes elegant mounts as well...none are cheap....that will allow conversion of Cateye to Garmin mount as well. Hope that helps. |
Just out of curiosity, has anyone seen an out front mount with three spots (Garmin, Light, GoPro)?

Does it hold the bar tightly enough? I’m concerned that the stem plate screw additional length might cause some flex under heavy sprint efforts. |
