It rains so infrequently in the southwest so I cherish every moment of it. Unlike so many others the rain enhances my mood. Although I can't say too much about the cooler 50s temps. Still, unlike freezing rain, 50s is far from unbearable.
The good news is, the rain hit on the weekend when most people are off. Unless you have to work outside, of course? Otherwise, just stay home and drink some hot coco or coffee. My coffee press is warming up right now. ☕

Personally, I just sit around like a lump and eat a bunch of really bad, high-calorie food. This gives me motivation to work extra hard once the weather clears up.

Mediocre weather in Seattle, but it was a bluebird day at the pass. I skied 16 miles with more than 2K elevation gain. (I'm an earn your turns kind of guy.)

50s and rain is not That bad ... I'd skip it only because I have done it so many times as a commuter and I no longer Have to. But 50s and rain ... a decent rain vest/windbreaker, long gloves, and maybe if you can find them, light rain pants.
I made myself a sort of plastic-lined diaper because with spray and wind, certain areas seemed to get colder than I liked .... light rain pants, maybe even cut off, would take care of that. I also have wetsuit socks. I also made a sort of pharaoh's crown rain cap to keep water from streaming down my neck---if you wear a helmet with a rain cover, you might need a piece of plastic sheeting to roll the rain further back.
30s and rain is the real bear. I have a full kayaking dry suit ... sweat like a herd of pigs, but I was never cold.

I'd be thrilled if it got to 50F. A free weeks ago I went riding in 6F and fresh snow.
This weekend it's warmed to 45 and sunny. Up from -15 the past few days... The only thing keeping me inside is all the packed ice everywhere now.

I do laundry after the first ride so I'll have something to wear for the second. I put my MTB boots over the heater (pilot only) to gently dry overnight. That's how. At least it's a warm rain.

It was 40F and rainy this Sunday, so I put on my Gore Tex jacket, neoprene shoe covers, high density wind-proof neck warmer, and neoprene gloves, beneath over gloves and rode my bike which has handlebar wind-guards.
By the way, high-density neck-warmers are really great for cold weather cycling. They are sold in the ski/snowboarding section of a local sports shop at about 30USD. They are made of fleece backed nigh density nylon "shell," but one can make one out of a 100 yen shop thigh supporter or any other piece of impermeable material wrapped around your neck. https://www.flickr.com/photos/nihonbunka/45771025084/

Day 2: quick 5K run in between showers. Finally made it out on my third attempt since it started raining the first two times once I reached the front door.
Day 3: ??? Thinking (light) weights
I have no problems with cold. I frequently go high into the mountains (I only climb, flats are boring), so I am prepared for some chills. But wet? Nope. Not gonna happen.
