How do you guys deal with two days straight of rain/cold?
We're about to get hit with 2-4" of rain Saturday and Sunday with temps as low as 50F...

They are forecasting four days of rain. No weekend ride? Insane. Looks like rain on Saturday is a given, but hopefully they are wrong on Sunday.

Nordic skiing, which is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. Work from home Monday to avoid driving in the snow with people who can't do that.

I've seen cyclists riding in the rain. I think they survived.

The gym. But two days won't ruin your season. Taking them off, you'd probably discover you're stronger the next day.

I seriously don’t know what I would do and can only imagine that being surrounded by friends and family is the only thing that would possibly get me through it.

I dress warmer and take care of chores around the house. Spend time with my wife and watch a few movies, maybe go out for lunch. I can miss 2 days of riding standing on my head. I have no particular goal, so diverting my attention to something else for a couple of weeks is really no big deal.

And I thought you Yanks* were all tough guys ! Man, the weather is the weather, get out and enjoy it, I say. So it's a touch wet, get out your macs and your galoshes, and head out into the rain. Sleet where you are? Even better? Snow? Do you think it stops the Finns getting out and dancing naked around central station because they beat Sweden at ice hockey. Weather is to be enjoyed.
Realistically, the English have it. Head down the pub, order yourself a pint and a packet of crisps, draw up a chair near the fire sympathise with all those who aren't where you are.

I only found it curious that Zwift HQ is located in Long Beach. Why would anyone that lives in Southern California ride indoors? Why would you own a trainer?

Me thinks you are trying to tweak the noses of those unfortunates living with sub-zero temperatures over the past few days. Shame! I greeted this morning's wet weather with gratitude. It's free watering for the Spring bulbs that are already quite a ways out of the ground.

Actually, I took the Brompton into the local town (50km away) on the bus today, mostly because of the weather, then used the bike to go between the various shops. Unfortunately the best supermarket - and remember, this is a town in the heart of rural France, where tourists are welcome if rare, and few locals speak English - is a way out of town. As it's the only one that stocks fresh galangal, papaya, kaffir lime etc, I had to go there, and am glad I did. Finished the shopping, went to the bike where another cyclist was packing stuff into the bags on his new - looking Orbea, snapped the front bag onto the Brompton when he started chatting. His first question was about speed of the Brommie, so I told him the truth, which is around 20 kph assuming the roads aren't too steep. We then branched off into what the strengths of the Brompton were, and dived into various experiences we'd had in various countries touring on our various bikes. I don't think he'll go off and buy one straight away, but for around 20 minutes we stood there, in the rain, wind, and occasional sleet flurry, oblivious to it all.
All of which goes to show that while the weather, when it is not being actively destructive, can be a nuisance, it is easily overcome.

Probably for the best. 48 hours of no riding essentially erases any and all riding you've ever done before anyway. And who wants to restart as a total newb? Yikes.

find it easier to self-motivate if it’s at home, are fearful of crazy drivers, have finally found somewhere they can use those white bibs or have controlling/needy domestic partners. perhaps a combo of the above?
