Trek announcing "something that will change cycling forever"

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Seattle Forrest was close.

It's actually a built in EMP gun, to disable motorists that pass closer than 3ft.

I've been asking Trek to develop a death ray for this purpose, but there were too many legal issues.

Did Trek's executives get older, and they "invented" the recumbent?

Tom-Bay proof bike

Built in Gyro system keeping bike vertical even when stopped for a red light thereby eliminating the need to un-clip. No more OOPS!!!

If you also add front and rear Isospeed decouplers and new decouplers on the crank arms to mask both the stiffness and the compliance . . . I think we have a WINNER!

I've thought we should have heat seeking bazooka rockets fired from tubes strapped to our TTs. Rocket would fly up the exhaust, get stuck and inflate a balloon. No exhaust - car stalls. Driver pulls off roadway. When everything is cool, motorist tries again to restart his car, the balloon and rocket get shot out the back and he drives off bewildered.

I would definitely buy that if I could wear a Wiley E Coyote jersey.

LBS got the decree You need to commit to stocking more Trek Electric bikes..

We will see what the local market reacts to,

last year , when I was there, customers dropped in, asked about Electric bikes , saw the price,

Most had a bit of Sticker Shock ,.. said 'thank you' and left .. Maybe Shops in richer communities will sell more ..

I don't work at a Trek shop, but we sell plenty of E-bikes(mostly to snowbirds). Most of the people that come in looking for an E-bike, already have a vague idea of how much they go for.
