Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well lookie what I found in my office today! After not finding it in the garage yesterday I began to fear I had thrown it in the recycling bin thinking centerlock dumb, I'll never need this.

I may or may not need an additional tire before the year is done, but maybe buying one in the fall is better than buying three right now.

Well I survived my high altitude trek, and the taxi drivers, in Peru. Now to sort through about 1600 photos. Did anything important happen while I was away.

You do realise he is talking about bike shoes, not the ordinary shoes to drive the car?

Having asked that, I often drive with the shoes I will be riding with, but they aren't road shoes. I do have one pair of those road-specific shoes, but they are very rarely worn anyway... I don't like walking in them because of the reverse angle of the soles, and I have seen enough people slip on them in damp surfaces to fall on their backsides. Plus, also they wear out the bits that fit in the pedals rather quickly.
