We we are celebrating the Passover with an exceptionally good bottle of wine someone foolishly left at our house and which we grabbed blindly on our way to the boat. We tasted it and said, “hmmm, this is a little better than usual, isn’t it?” When google confirmed our suspicions, we ran down the dock to find some friends to share it with. After we finish it, we will head out for something to eat.
Joyous holidays to all!

Took a shower after my ride and found that I’m covered with a rash from my ears down to my feet. It’s a rash similar in appearance to heat rash and similar to a rash I get with Norco, sulfa, and another pain killer. (Forgot which one).
I did finish up a 10 day regimen of cephalexin for a UTI last Tuesday. I also experienced higher than usual pollen allergies on today’s ride. Other than that, I have no idea what’s causing it. Anyway, it’s been almost 3 hours since I finished my ride and if anything, it’s worse. Doesn’t itch, just feels warm and it’s ugly as can be.

I got some work done today. Built a stand to put the dingy on for sanding and painting. Currently trying to convince Ramona that the two of us can lift the boat on to the stand and flip it over ourselves.

Piece of cake.
I could've done it myself in fact.

I don’t know of any Jewish cooks who do that although it makes perfect sense. It would be like cooking pasta in sauce instead of first in water.

Different meaning of the word dumpling. No filling. Not like a ravioli. Just a dough like for chicken and dumplings but made with an already baked base for the dough instead of raw flour. Come to Houston and we will fix you up.

Probably because cats have very sharp fangs, and can easily puncture the skin if they bite hard. Dog fangs are pretty dull by comparison.

I have had it -I have just never seen it made. The color threw me - it looked more like meat than anything else.

Long day, yesterday.
Got together with a few of the guys and there was just perfect riding weather - sunny and 70-ish. It was my first decent-length ride of the year (70+ miles on the day), but not without issue.
My rear stem had a slow leak and it was at a spot where the sealant just couldn't reach. After we had our lunch, a German affair with Maibock, sausage, herring, pate, sauerkraut, etc (you know - your typical ride refueling), I decided to top off the wheel for the ride back. Unfortunately, my buddy's screw-on mini-pump snapped the valve body, lodging half of it inside the stem, so I had to decide whether to put in a tube or ride home a little low. Well, after that lunch, it was never going to be too spirited of a ride, so I just rode it home. It got a little bouncy by the time I got back, but all was well.
Since I already did some work prepping the Haanjo earlier this week, I think that I'll move the PM over and ride it for the week (it'll be good to give it a good run-in before the gravel ride next weekend, anyway). That way, I can take a little time to pick up some new tires and stems (the ones that I have are pretty, but a pain in the ass), re-tape my wheels (it's been a couple years) and maybe even do that brake bleed job that I've been meaning get around to.

@WhyFi That reminds me to look at my rear wheel. I was stopped yesterday and noticed a small amount of dry sealant stringing from a spoke. Tire was still firm so I didn’t take the time to look for the puncture. Forgot about it till your post. I’ll have to check it out.
edit: found a little more sealant on the rear brake but can’t find the puncture. Tire is down 10-12 psi. Tire/sealant must have done its job.

When you're hot, you're hot. Sounds like a job for Benadryl. I wouldn't be surprised if it were the Cephalexin. It is not all that unusual for an allergic reaction to be delayed when it is very mild. In any case I would be very cautious about taking that or other members of the sane antibiotic family in the future.

In bike maintenance related news. I did a fresh chain and tune the other day, then dropped the chain going into the little ring while Otha riding with a friend. Ran through it again this morning and realized the font derailleur was way out on all adjustments. I did a crank swap last year and everything looked good, I thought. Today I started from scratch and literally had to move everything. Cage was set too high and not parallel to big ring, so nothing from there on would ever be right, even had to move the converter pin. Test ride this afternoon, report to follow.

Drove 120 miles upstate yesterday in order to bike with some friends today, only to discover I left my shoes home. Bright beautiful day, all set mentally and physically to ride, and then POOF!
