Bottom Bracket Bearings

Hello!

I searched all over the place, but I cant find any useful information. I have a PF30 Rotor 4630 bottom bracket with 2 11.5mm spacers. Looking at their new UBB Rotor 4630 BB, they claim that by moving the bearings outwards, it makes the BB stiffer, more durable, etc. Is this true? if I do get it, I will no longer need any spacers so that would be good since all the power transfer will be directly onto the bearings whereas now, it goes from the spacer to the bearings.

thoughts?

In theory the farther apart the bearings are spaced the better they can deal with torsional load, but except with possibly sprinting, the bearing's only job is allow the axle to spin freely.
