Seat Height Questions
Could anyone recommend a good tutorial on finding the right seat height for each rider? I tried looking through the first post, but the few links I clicked all gave 404 errors.

Hmmm, I might have to use the in-seam method since I don't have all of the tools that he does in this video. Thanks for the link!

I have always used trial and error. One caution.....measurements should be from pedal spindle not BB due to different crank arm lengths.

once you've got it, don't forget that saddle fore and aft position is also important. And as you adjust the latter, you also usually have to adjust the former.

Measure your cycling inseam by shoving a book or a level up your crouch as far as you can to imitate a saddle and mark it on a wall for measurement. Take your inseam and x it by .883 and measure from the middle of the botton bracket. This will get you pretty

Put on your cycling shoes and pedal backwards with your heels while on a stationary trainer, having someone hold the bike, or hold yourself up like between a doorframe or something. The approximate correct seat height will be the tallest that you can pedal without rocking your hips back and forth while keeping your heels on the pedals. At the same time you need to make sure the fore/aft position of the seat has your kneecap directly over the pedal spindle when the pedal is perpendicular to the ground.
