Slr 0 vs slr 1 wheelset?

Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

Slr 0 vs slr 1 wheelset?

Is there a big enough difference in performance to spend the extra money on the slr 0 wheels over the slr 1? Im a casual rider who does group rides and training rides to the tune of 3-4K miles a year.

How are you getting the wheels?
The slr 0 is usually comes with higher spec bike in other components as well.
Or are you getting the wheels new or used by themselves?
Aside from that, I don't think you will notice any performance difference.
But the same could be said for a lot of bike stuff that many people (myself included) are willing to pay a premium for.

The Zero comes with a better Hub (DT 240 vs Giant) and I believe, better spokes. The carbon is the same.

I don’t know about the SLR-1, but I have a set of SLR 0s and have never been impressed. Add the fact that the wheels are part of a proprietary system and a broken spoke is a royal pain to deal with. I broke the first one at around 800 miles and weighed 178# at the time. Broke a second one 800 miles later. Had the wheel rebuilt with new spokes.

Anyway, lots of other good wheels available in my opinion.
