I know you can ride tubeless tires at slightly lower pressures, but what PSI do you actually run in your tubeless road set up? Also, what is your tire brand and wheel combination?

Thats the same pressure I plan on running. Do you find the rude harsh? How does it compare to traditional clinchers at 90-100?

In terms of comfort it is very noticeable, especially on the Ultegras. I don’t know why the Mavics feel a bit harsher but they are 64mm deep carbon so maybe that’s why. But both are much more comfortable than my tubed wheels at 95-100.

They both feel faster. I feel the Ultegras roll much easier tubeless. The Mavics give me about ~1km/hr advantage starting at around 33kph, IOW, faster for the same effort at ~31-32 kph; aero, tubeless, or a combination thereof.

In terms of comfort alone tubeless is an absolute win, IMO.

I’m running 25s and weight 154lbs.

Rider weight probably about 215lbs. Obviously the latter has a bit more comfort than the former, but I've lost my basis of comparison for clinchers. Exclusively tubeless for almost 2 years now.

63F/76R - Schwalbe ProOne 30mm on 21.5mm (internal) rims. I started at 60/70, but felt a bit squishy to me.

Tires measure just under 32mm inflated. I weight ~205.

Mavic Ksyrium Elite USTs w/25 tires. I weight 189 lbs ......Front 80-85 psi and rear 95-100 psi. Recommended by LBS and on line sites. Seems to be working well. On a CAAD 12 & a Guru Sidero.

Before each ride I roll a pair of 9-sided dice and inflate to the higher of the two possible number combinations. So 99 psi. max and 11 psi min. Learned to do this on this forum.

30mm Schwalbe G-One Speed + Light Bicycle 56mm(23mm internal). I weigh 180 pounds.

They felt a little squishy on the way to work yesterday, so I checked the pressure. They were down to 35/38psi.

I weigh 135lbs, run 700x28 Conti GP 5000 tubeless on Aeolus Pro 5 wheels and normally keep the psi around 85 for both tires.

Note: I've only begin running tubeless and these wheels for the past week or so, previous to this I ran 700x25 Conti GP 5000 with latex tubes on some fulcrum OEM alloy wheels at around 85psi a tire. So, I might change to a lower PSI on my new tire/wheel combo in the coming weeks/months.

Here I go:

front is a 17mm rim, 25mm tire. Rear is a 20mm rim, 25mm tire. I weigh 135lbs.

I run 40-60 psi in the front and 50-65 psi in the rear.

I use tubes. I have never pinch flatted. My secret? Sealant... in my TUBES I’ve felt my rim clobber square edges HARD but I’ve never lost enough pressure to notice.

I usually go 80/85 or maybe 80/90 if I'm going to be out all day on 28mm schwalbe pro 1 (which measure right at 28mm on my WH6800 shimano wheels). i'm 225 right now.

It is noticeably more comfy than 100-110 that I ride on clinchers but not low enough to be squishy. If I stand up to power up a hill, I do feel a little bouncing out of the rear tire but it's tolerable.

I taped them. There isn't a problem with air leaking rapidly, but a problem with me forgetting to pump them up occasionally. It had probably been almost 2 weeks since I last pumped them up to 55/60psi.

That sounds more appropriate for 23s than 28s, given your size.

That's what I run in 28s and I'm around 215lbs. For his weight on a tubeless 28, even 60psi in the front would be a lot. But once again, wants > needs. If he wants 85psi, the tires can handle it.

I’m new to the tubeless party and the info I’ve picked up in this thread and others has been a big help. I’ve got years of riding on rock hard tires and old habits are tough to break.

Anyhoo, after a lot of experimenting, it seems like 90/R (25mm) and 85/F (23mm) work well with my Reynolds AR 58/62 carbon wheels and Continental Force/Attack tires. I’m 162 pounds.

If anyone has any suggestions for me I’m all ears.

I'm 170lbs. One bike has Scope R3 wheels with Hutchinson Sector 28's and they run at 65f and 70r. Second bike has Schwalbe Pro 1 28's and I run them at 70f and 75r.
