pulled the trigger on an airborne
Time to retire the Cadex CFR with 8-speed campy I've been riding for the last 11 years. We'll always have Paris. After much research, deliberation, and dissapointing visits to LBS I bought the thunderbolt airborne has on sale currently. Nothing like a little surplus military grade aluminum from China. Came within a whisker of going with bikesdirect, but airborne at least gives a 3 year warranty on the frame.

Looks like a very nice package. I think you are going to be very happy with that! It is a great deal...especially with the pro fork upgrade. Get us some pics after you get her out of the box.

I'll post 'em when the thing arrives. Want to see pics of my 11 year old CADEX?

Nice upgrade. I never could get used to bikes with the seatstays welded lower than the junction of the toptube/seattube though.

It's purely an aesthetics thing. I don't know how to explain it better, but I like to see all the tubes at common junctions. For this reason, I never really liked Giant's OCR aluminum or any of GT's triple-triangle frames.
