Felt F55 deal

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pretty sure they listed at $1900 +. I've seen them for $1599 in Seattle. I rode one and liked a couple of 1900+ bikes better but for $1300 . . . that's seems like a really good deal.

No matter if it's an 04, 05 or even 03 that is a good price for a new F55.

Seeing as that is less than retail on a F65, I'd say its a good deal.

Free FRAME! thats basically what that means Da itself is like 1400 I think. I'd say if the glove (bike in this case) fits go for it!

i have an f70 and it is an awesome bike. The same frame with Dura Ace, et al. would be an incredible bike. For $1300???? Grab it up quick, as long as it fits right!!!

That is a great deal. Isn't that DA and American Classic 350 wheels? That makes for an unbelievable deal.

Pokerguy - what bike shops in Seattle have the F55 for around $1600? I am looking for one in Portland for one and the best deal I have found is $1900.

Thanks,
cmh

If you mean the F70 is does not come with DA. It comes stock with 105's and Shimano WH-R500 wheels and Vittoria Action HSD folding tires.

I'm not even sure why you would put DA on a F70. Costs more than the bike complete.

Just got back from a bike shop here in San Diego. Saw the felt f55 for $1799 w/American Classics & DA (pedals included). That's a sweet deal, plus they have a 12month no interest action - cha-ching!
Pokerguy, let me know if you find it cheaper.
Thanks!

This probably doesn't help much but since I've been doing a ton of research on Felts recently I found this store in Michigan which is having a great sale on now. www.bikesportmichigan.com

I just got a felt f-55 from www.bikesale.com out of seattle, bothell ski and bike which i have had a wonderful experience with considering i am in new york. I got it from them for 1699 and that was the best i could find anywhere. my local shops couldnt touch that deal. Shipping costs less than tax too. An f-55 at 1300, thats puro - you can't lose money, no way. Felt is making some freakin kick ass bikes at insane values. By the way it comes with either the easton/velomax vista sl's which retail for about $300 or the American Classic 420's which retail for close to $800 because they ran short of eastons. The 420's are selling on ebay for $500 without tires or anything, just built rim.

That is an astonishing deal for $1599 - full specs from Felt website, 2005 bike:

Look how much Dura Ace you're getting - although I think they cheaped out on the crankset, the FSA MegaEXO version of that same crank (same idea as ultegra/dura ace hollowtech) external BB should only cost $50-100 more.
