Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

some of the myths about Cholesterol come to mind. your body proces more then you can use. if you eat no natural Cholesterol your body can produce more then usual. really low Cholesterol can be a problem too. high Cholesterol does not have to be bad either.

I know it's hard to believe because we've been told the opposite for so long,
but what you've said here is not necessarily true.

The article on the below link cites no less than 44 references!!

The above statement runs counter to everything your doctor, the media, and allegedly 'respectable' and 'impartial' health organizations have ever told you."

I've got to agree with you big time 531Aussie,

I'm starting a local chapter if the Weston A Price Foundation in Canberra, and Anthony Colpo is right in line with WAPF. https://www.westonaprice.org and here's an orticle from a commom source. https://www.westonaprice.org/moderndi...s_cholest.html

A high fat traditional food diet has helped my health greatly.

Regards, Anthony

You have steroid hormones. Cholesterol is the precursor to all steroid hormones in your body. Your body does not produce any cholesterol. You need to eat it.

remember studies have to be paid by someone. usually someone who beninfits.

we had some big myths that all fats and all foods cholesteral are horrible for you. this is getting proven wrong. you cna't belive everything the goverment says about or diet. just look at the wacky food pyrimid that was worked out by the corperations.
look at all the foods and drugs the FDA has approved that are very bad for us or at the least not very good.

I suppose it depends how old you are

If you're hittin' 50, 60 or 70, heart health could well be you primary concern

I'm only 40 so I'm too young to worry about things like cholesterol.

It just so happens I had mine tested a couple weeks ago.

Chol: 118
Triglyc: 62
HDL: 47
Calc LDL: 59
Risk LDL: 1.25

I have a typical diet (not a vegetarian), and have just been riding for a little over 2 months now.

Go to a Dr. and tell them you want to do full blood work. Among other things, you will get your cholesterol numbers.

Ahh science,

I will put forward an argument that "Science" is in-fact the dominant religion of the western world at this point in time!

You don't believe me?

Well I will ask this question. What is the "Scientific method" and who published the "Scientific study" that proves it works? Don't know?

The answer is that none of this exists yet you have faith in science. You believe in something you don't understand. Just like Christians or Muslims believe in God.

Now of course your going to disagree with me but this is because I'm committing heresy, not because your going to present any of the evidence. Now I believe that science has a lot to offer us, that is if any is done and rather than being 'Pseudo-Science" the work of Dr Weston A Price is scientifically very important.

It's called a "Control study". A control study is the basis for ANY real science because without it all you have is uncontrolled statistical correlation. NOT science and that's my point. There is no science behind the current mainstream dietary advice.

You should check out http//:www.westonaprice.org as it's a real eye opener.

Regards, Anthony

If God had not intended for us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them taste so good.

Besides, if man had not started eating meat, we would still be living in trees.
