Old Bike - Getting New Cranks / Chainrings

I've got an older Cannondale SuperSix Evo Ultegra Di2 (Ultegra 6770). I think it's a 2013. It is equipped with Cannondale Hollowgram SI cranks and FSA Chainrings (50/34). While there are newer bikes out there, I love this one, and I don't really want to explore a new bike.

The chainrings are definitely worn and need replacing (the chain is starting to slip more than I'm ok with, and the tips just look worn). I was looking for some advice on what to replace them with. I've been told by a lot of people that the FSA chainrings aren't that great, and that I may also want to look into different "sizing" (I don't know the right word). In a prior thread, just related to that question, the consensus seemed to be that I probably wouldn't notice a move to 50/36. Is there something else I should be looking at?

The cranks aren't in terrible shape, but they aren't in great shape either. I was thinking of going ahead and replacing those as well. They are 170 mm.

Complicating things is that I've been considering outfitting the bike with a power meter. I use TrainerRoad on my indoor trainer quite a bit, and I've gotten used to gauging the workout / ride based on power. Would it make sense to let that influence this decision (ie, get a chainring or crank power meter)?

Absolutely makes sense for that to inform your decision.

Look into Power2Max.

Sounds like maybe you're not aware of the chain wear threshold of 1/16"?

Keep your chains clean and change them before they get too worn, and your rings should last ages.

I was not. I'm a bit new to trying to take care of things myself. In the past, I have generally taken it to my LBS for all maintenance.

Sounds like I should be getting a new chain, too.

I was looking at the Power2Max NG ECO. But it looks like I can get one that fits most any chainrings and cranks. It does look like a good, cost effective power meter.

You're also gonna need a new cassette. New chain jumps on a worn cassette, and new chainrings skip under a worn chain. You can kinda get away with a worn chain on a new cassette (except it causes wear) or worn rings with a new chain.
