Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

In most cases there's something wrong with adult males who weigh less than 160. datlas

I mean, the details of counting decades are hardly meaningful day-to-day. It's up there with a ton of other rules that people get by without understanding.

I suppose if the device motivates you, that's a good thing....but I am pragmatic and want results, not data.
Tell them that the portion of the Fitbit app that helps log their calories and macros is more important. It's actually very easy and very informative. Most people don't understand how much they eat - keeping track, even for just a week, is eye opening. Until they understand their intake, they'll keep thinking that going for a 30 min walk justifies even more indulgence than usual.

Are you saying I'm too fat for walking?

Sounds like stuff from runner's world. From what I remember, brisk walking actually seems more tiring than slow jogging.

Not my patients. They already know they eat hardly ANYTHING. But still gain weight.

Good to know!

Works great for Archery!

I shoot traditional archery and recently begun using a back quiver which made the use of my backpack, with bladder holder, no longer possible. Since most of my shooting is on field courses, there can be quite a bit of walking and having some water and snacks makes life much easier. This is absolutely perfect for this, sits low enough on my back to be out of the way of my quiver, holds enough water for a nice hike, room for snacks, and comfortable through miles of walking. Archery might not be what this is intended for, but it's a great product for those of us using back quivers.

Runner's World is the Bicycling of running. Heel-toe drop is the difference in stack height of a shoe between heel and toe; 16mm was traditional, but low or zero is becoming more popular. I'm a fan of 4-6mm. It is, of course, hotly debated, and everyone thinks their preference is correct for everyone.

Thanks guys. And yes, physical - aging and not that healthy, and several are getting that thin, drawn face where their eye sockets and cheekbones are very prominent. And it's all new since last year, which is disheartening.
