Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What a day! Riding and the temperature is just right. A little blue in the sky and a wonderful time to be out on the bike. Get to my favorite hill and begin to climb it. I'm always looking up far ahead every few seconds but for some reason forgot to (?) this time. I dunno, maybe somehow I just happened to 'miss' seeing the HUGE landscaping trailer in front of me. So, picture this: going no more than 6 mph up a hill and I ran into a trailer! The guy was standing right there too! Guess he didn't think I was stupid enough to run right into it. I tried to avoid it but clipped the side and went over the curb where I then ran into some power equipment! Agagagagagah! Cut my knee up and everything. It was just so slow and painfully embarassing to watch. Made a few jokes about it while the guy was asking if I was okay and then rode off... but wait I DIDN'T ride off! Noooo, I slipped out of my pedal and railed my guys right into the seat! Oooooo, I was really surprised to see how fast I could ride up the remainder of the hill after making such an *** out of myself and laughing the whole way home

I always say: If you don't laugh at yourself, some jerk's gonna beat you to it!

Takes a big man to recount his own mistakes.
Glad it wasn't serious!

Ouch and Hahah.

I've been making an ass out of myself at intersections with these new stupid clip pedals.
And i learned the lookup lesson by riding head long into a utility work ahead tarp sign. Luckily nobody was around to see my misfortune
