Oh no, I may be coming down with OCP....

Last night I was mounting my race tires (Vittorias) on my race wheels (yeah, so racing automatically disqualifies me from OCP club), and I decided to mount the tires with the red labels on the right side of the wheels and precisely centered over the valve stem. I made sure the valve stem was PRECISELY below the "8" in the "8-10 BAR" recommendation on the label.
Now here's the bad part: Today while riding..................... I felt more complete. Crap.

If you see a photographer at the race and you stop and pose, or at least slow down, you may be OCP

funny because i actually just put a new rear tire on. it's also a vittoria. after i was finished i looked at it and noticed that the label was off center from the valve stem. i immediatly thought: "oh crap, i screwed up".

I must be coming down with the OCP as well. That is how I ALWAYS mount my tires. I will unmount my tire to remount it if it is not perfect.

I always mount my tires so that the label is centered on the valve. Not for OCP purposes, but in case I get a flat. This way, I can figure out where in the tire the penetration occured, and I can examine that area more closely for remaining debris.

that is not all OCP as cydewaze stated, but if you demand that the lable on your hub can be seen by looking down the valve hole on you rim (kinda like a pep-hole to the hub), then OCP is amost for sure.

I did this with handlebars just last night. Wrapped the left in the opposite direction as the right. Bah.

Anal-Yes.
OCP-Not necesarily.

It's what you do with that look now that matters. But the fact that you thought about is a good sign that you're headed over to our side....the dark side some would say.
