I just got my new USA jersey in the mail, and it is Shweeet!!!
Now, I am torn as to which jersey I should wear for STP.
I love the USA jersey, and my Trento jersey, but the Trento mathes best with my kit.
Remember, I will be in "MPM" for the STP, so proper color coordination is of the the utmost importance.
Here's the kit I will be wearing. Which jersey should I wear?
The USA?
Or, the Trento Blue?

I don't think there's any material advanced enough to help you maintain standard temperature and pressure as you cycle save for some of those NASA space suits.

I think you better use the USA one. On Sunday, I think I got flipped off and honked at because my jersey had the name of another country on it.
I am wearing the team jersey from the Giro's KOM. So that all of you subconsciously feel compelled to break wind for me on "the flats".

Well, I keep leaning towards the Trento. Reason being, is I am the only guy I have seen anywhere around here with one like that. The USA jersey just showed up at the local Performance shop, and they are selling pretty good. My guess is there will be a few people wearing them on Saturday.
I like to be differant, and don't like just, "blending in".
P.S. Waiting for the Hipster, and Rad to chime in.

I like the Trento, for MPM. It matches the helmet and your Trinity perfectly and you'll want maximum exposure in that get-up tomorrow.

You have to think ahead to how you want to look for the photo-ops. And more importantly, which one you want to be featured in for the final shot at the finish line. There will be a couple of photos on each day throughout the course. For an idea of where they are, see the non-subalbumed photos from my 2003 STP pictures gallery. Note that I'm wearing my 2002 (previous year's) STP jersey on day-1 and the 2003 (then current) STP jersey on day-2. There will be indicators from the course marshalls and via signs telling you you're approaching a photo-op location so be sure to crank up the poseur mode at that time.

Now THAT'S the OCP connection.
As for the jersey.....as OCP fashion consultant i must direct you to your brand new USA jersey. That splash of red is perfect for your kit.

hmmm....
Well, the fashion guru's opinion has heavy weight here, so now I am considering the USA once again. I agree, the red sticks out, and is very sharp. Only problem, is I am concerned I will be riding in a see of people wearing similar jerseys, since they seem to be a popular item around here now.
OH, what to do......

Besides, it's more important to look your best, not worry about who else might have that same jersey. If you are worried about competition from someone else wearing it, you can always pull yours off with that six-pak of yours underneath!

Dude, it took the embezzlement of thousands of pork barreled OCP dollars, and weeks with a CG specialist to make that pic look like that.

That was the ace up my sleeve to use as my final argument for that jersey!

If your wife is coming, the red will match her bike - or Rad's, depending on who you want to be seen with. But the Trento matches Trinity so well, it's hard to pass up.
Agree with Khuon - who didn't know what MPM stood for?

One other thing to keep in mind is how you will look at the finish line. In 2003, the STP jersey I was wearing was very close in colour of the background so all the pictures of me by the event photographers had me kind of blending into the backdrop.

My pick of jersey for the finish line in 2004 was a bit better in terms of colour contrast.

I realize I have no connection with the OCP, but as a common man I feel I have can contribute in this case. I am eyeing that USA jersey myself ($45 is way to cheap for trure OCP), so I belive the sheeple point is correct. However, I think you could set youself apart if you buy the matching USA socks.

$10 for a pair of socks is pretty OPCish don't you think.

Without a doubt, go with the Trento. The USA is too Budweiser, while the Trento is perfectly color coordinated - even my wife would agree.

So what bike I should take on the STP. I've got the red Bianchi or the Cervelo R2.5

I've been struggling with this. Ignore the man behind the Bianchi, yea, I wish. Help. which one? Common OCP members. I need the info.

you're going to look better and much much more OCP on the Cevelo... but the Bianchi is probably going to be more comfortable and perhaps more functional (especially if you keep the fender on it)
