Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

700x20c on a rougher asphalt.

What if i go for a ride with 700x20c on a road like shown on the picture below (but riding only on this "fine" left side, not the center of the damaged road),can it damage my rims,or frame?

No pic. It’s probably going to feel rough but unlikely to damage anything. Drop your pressure a smidge.

That said, why the heck are you running narrow tires? Those are for the track. Get a set of 25’s if you can.

Yeah i've only noticed now,i forgot to add it.But too late now since i can't edit and add it (new on here and don't have 10 post yet).
I really had no clue about tyre sizes when i was bying it.
I already ordered 25's but i was just wondering this about 20's,since i got them with the bike.

Best answer is to try, but be prepared for a rough ride.

It'll just be a little rough. With 20s, I wouldn't drop the pressure. You'll live, can't damage anything. You're more likely have have problems if you drop the pressure. There are still folks around who ride 20mm on the road all the time. It's not crazy. Not for gravel though.

They must be somewhat old tires. I can only think of one or two models of 700x20C tires still available!

20s might shake your fillings out but otherwise they’re fine. I rode 20s for years without damaging anything

You see narrow tires like that on velodromes. I wouldn’t lower the pressure because of the small amount of air volume. It will be a rough ride is all.

You are also less likely to have problems if you are closer to 130lbs than 250lbs

I love my 23s! I've taken them on some pretty rough roads with no ill effects. Obviously there is a limit.

I did have 20s on a bike relatively recently, and I won't go back to that skinny (that bike is a commuter with 25s on now), they weren't fun on the rough roads here.

Same - 130 psi! Might as well have used solid rubber o-rings. But that was what the cool kids did, had to be cool.
