help, my bars are flexing.

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

yeah, I know the stem is as well. Both are on the chopping block. Problem is I can only afford to put decent money into one or the other. Being that I am somewhat obsessive in my posing I would prefer to put the money into the stem which will be more visible. Does anyone have advice on a set of reasonably prices bars that will be stiffer than the stock Deda Elementi Piega that are on the bike?

I just went through this with my kestrel...I got a kestrel carbon bar but the stem was all over the place! I was willing to put some money into a stem, but I wanted something stiff. I have other bikes with other stems, the stiff stems has welded steel. A friend had a IRC that was steel with a ti finish...and it was stiff on his bike. I went to the IRC website and found this: https://store.interlocracing.com/cr1thst.html

I've installed it on my kestrel and it is rock solid. It doesn't have the removable face and it is for 26.0 bars and 1" forks, but if it fits, it's also a great price.

My advice would be to upgrade to a bar with a 31.8 diameter clamp area, and a matching stem of course. You can get an FSA Wing Pro bar with the flat top section (this is more comfortable, IMO, and stiffer) and an FSA-140 stem at retail for around $130 or so (you can find both on ebay for cheaper though).
