Scott Speedster S3
 

I finally am going to upgrade to 105 bike. I have been looking at my LBS at the Scott S3. Anyone have any opinions on this Scott line. The CR1 fork suppose to be very good. My current bike is a Fuji Ace that has Sora components. So hopefully this is a good upgrade. Just curious if anyone has ridden this bike.

I haven't ridden the S3 but I can say that the Scott line of bikes are a great bikes. I have the CR1 Team and love it. As for the fork I can't say much more than the entire bike rides like a dream (since I have the full carbon model) I do however like that the bikes are equipped with the complete 105 line and not piece milled mixes. Make sure you test ride it first before buying it, to make sure you like it. Because no matter what I or anyone else says, we aren't riding YOUR bike.

Purchased in October of 2005 for $1,100 in the SF Bay Area. Had them put on Armadillo tread as I also commute on this a couple times a week. My first road bike, I love its feel and the way it allows me to attack the hills.

Just took it in for the 60 day tune. Added clipless and lowered the drop. Rides even better now. Highly recommended for a serious entry-level rider.

Spinster - you got the 9 or 10 speed? I am buying the 2006 model with the 10 speed - currently paying it off. Link in sig.

9 speed, it's the 2005 model.
