Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

It's a contraction of my contractor business name. My last name is Wood.

Recent projects- before & almost after. Fireplace mantle - paint grade.

very nice! I dabble in woodworking. Built a bedroom group for my daughters from local amish milled red oak. I've sadly hit the point where my skill is starting to be limited by my quality of tools and shop space.

Quality is overrated. Nowadays perfectly machined and finished stuff is everywhere.

Many antiques are valued (or were before the bottom fell out) for their imperfection- chairs were made because the makers needed something to sit on.
