Wow, I actually won something from the Trekbikes.com Lucky 7 Contest!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wait! That was supposed to be mine!! I tried to play yesterday and got a time-out error, tried again and was told I had already played. I'm going back. I just know I'll win the Ride With Lance or the Bissel Vacuum!

so you win the lotto, and then the counselors counsel you and tell you how to spend it -- but in the mean time you've spent all the winnings on the counselors themselves?

Hey, I just won a keychain! Only play about 16 times a day (everyone at work gave me their e-mail addresses) and finally won.

I have to go to a Trek dealer to pick it up.

Good luck everyone.

They are giving away vacuum cleaners? Just what does that have to do with cycling?

The laptop, I suppose you could use to keep track of ride data or use for maps on the sag van. But a vacuum????

Never won anything, the system sucks. But having said that, 2 days ago the total prize is a little more than 1000 and now it's over 5000, so I guess that they must have changed the code so that people can win the little prizes more easily.

Just now won a peak bar, but I really wish it was the water bottle. Oh well, I guess it is good to be a winner. hmmmm, maybe it is like a carnival game, if I win three peak bars I can trade up to a water bottle, and so on and so forth.

Cool I won a keychain

Obviously I'd REALLY like to win any bike related gadget like those pedals or wheels or jersey. The ride with Lance prize would be cool, it's a really elaborate multiday extravoganza with lots of VIP access and you get to ride cool bikes.

Bah!! I am not pleased with this contest! I've won nothing! Nothing!!!

Today my first two boxes were the Bonty wheelset as I was getting ready to scratch the last box I said to myself, "Here we go, time to reveal 'Ride W/ Lance', #@*$!!". Needless to say "Ride w/ Lance" was revealed. I have zero interest in riding w/ Lance, I wanted that friggin wheelset!

My closest Trek dealer is 45 minutes away. I wonder if I showed up & asked for a Scratch Off for each day of the Tour so far if they'd give them to me, it's not like I can go up there every day. I'll buy a pair of gloves or something

Anyone get the sense that the "1 in 22 wins" figure isn't exactly accurate?
If we've got people with 15 accounts playing daily, smth. should come of it....

Ha Ha! I just won a peak bar at the LBS too. First scratch said "peak bar" and I thought "it figures.. I'll probably win that" after a week's worth of nothing. Well, I'll take it, but I'll keep trying for the wheels.

Me riding with Lance: "Hey Lance.. Good job.. thanks for riding with me and all...... Got any extra bikes you don't want?...Hey Man..Wait UP!!!......Lance!!..............HEY!!!"
