Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If anyone solves the enigma that is WAHOO LIVE TRACK, please let me know!
It simply doesn't work. I've confirmed that all my settings conform to instructions. Yesterday's ride didn't record at all. Last Saturday's ride recorded only half-way.

I had a different issue (screen malfunction) that forced me to return my Wahoo Bolt a few weeks ago (see thread 1137884). Wahoo evaluated my claim and promptly sent me a replacement. It was a very nice customer service experience.

So, once I had the new computer set up and sensors linked, I went on a ride. I remembered that the live track hadn't ever worked on the old unit ... so decided to see if the new unit would be any different. I created the new link for live tracking, sent it to my wife and left for 60 min ride. I didn't set my expectations high for the live tracking to work. Well, guess what ... it did work! I was very surprised. Wondering if the old unit was defective (multiple issues) or if maybe Wahoo resolved the live tracking in recent firmware update?

I will try again. Hopefully it continues to work!

My experience, after replacing the head unit twice, and even upgrading to a new phone, is that it works at first and eventually fails. In the three weeks since I bought an iPhone 12 Pro, the tracking system has worked about 50% to 75% of the time.

Boooo ... this is really discouraging.
I'll ride and report back if/when it fails.
