Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What color bar tape? I'm thinking black since the saddle is black and seems a bit out of place without anything to match it, maybe if I find a yellow Turbo or Flite I'll go with yellow. Don't want to do white. Any other suggestions?

Black. Simple. Elegant. Yellow is too cutesy.

Thanks for planning my lunch. Gonna go with Gỏi cuốn instead of Chả giò though, as I've been exceeding recommended fried food intake lately. Banh mi and coffee also, of course. Mmmmm

I've been loving my yellow tape thus far. But it's far easier to keep bar tape clean here in Phoenix than gritty Portland/Vancouver I've found.

Whenever tan wall tires are involved I'm tempted to go with natural-colored cork. With cork you can keep from being Michelin Manny by stretching tight (I've broken it a couple of times though ) and not overlapping much.

Something like this but with standard black or silver bar plugs. Preferably Cateye or Velox for me personally, not the corny plug your bar with cork like : (love the tape here though)

I think black is going to be the way to go with this. I'll add a splash of yellow with the brake housing once I put one on the front.

That cork doesn't look too bad, maybe I'll swing by the LBS after work and see what they have. Very occasionally they have some cotton tape but it's not a regular thing One nice thing is that I don't have levers to wrap around, and these bars have such a big drop that there's no sharp corners either - both things that should minimize bunching and bulking.

For bar ends I've got some rubber Velox that would be appropriate.
