Kalloy Uno Alloy Seatpost?
How are they? I think they are a "more affordable" component brand. Are their posts decently lightweight (not expecting Ritchie, Zipp, Thompson, etc.)? Two-bolt clamp reliable and secure clamping? Thanks.

Just keep an eye out for UNO branded parts, got fooled on ebay with that. Bought 2 stems in 40mm and 50mm for fitting kids bikes. Lettering of UNO is the same as the lettering that Kalloy uses for their parts line so very deceptive looking. Quality seemed fine but I'd be less trustful if they were going on an adult bike with weight and force behind it rather then on a bike for a 40lb 5yo.

Kalloy has stems and seat posts, alloy, about the same weight as the big names, and solid. "Nothing special" is exactly what I want ... because the cost to have that special "Thompson" (or whatever) logo for a part that doesn't weigh less or perform better, is too much cost,.
Some people love having the decals, and that's fine. I want strong and light, and somehow Kalloy has managed strong a relatively light for cheap---supposed to be impossible but there it is.
If the big-named brands were doing something amazing .... but all they are doing is holding the bras and saddle in place, same as the cheap stuff.

Not only that, the ability to micro-adjust the angle is not always necessary. When I have a straight seat post and a separate clamp with notches for the angles, I'm able to set it to my liking. Some won't be able, but usually one is able.

Don't get me wrong, kalloy is like the Toyota of seatposts. Very reliable, there's something to be said for that. Some of their stems are really nice, got one on my fixed gear:

They cost $20-28 on ebay depending on the seller and where they are located(China or US, basically).
30 seconds of rubbing with some Acetone removes the logo.
I have 3 Kalloy uno 7 stems on bikes right now. I agree- they are light and well finished. Cheap too, off ebay.
This is after some quick rubbing with Acetone.
