Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Best online cycling content/podcast

There is a lot of content out there. What do people like for online content, podcasts, videos etc.

I tend to like GCN, this forum obviously and a lot of the cycling weekly content. Looking for new ideas.

For general cycling info, I like the TrainerRoad Podcast... that's the one place I've learned the most about cycling since I started a year ago.
For product reviews, I like GP Llama and DCRainmaker (YouTube channels).
For how to stuff, GCN, but also the Park Tool guys are amazing.
For pro race reviews, I like The Move (Lance Armstrong's podcast)... It's more gimmicky, but that Johan guy is pretty knowledgeable.
For real pro race reviews. I like the Cycling Podcast.

NorCal Cycling has a lot of Cat 1-5 racing analysis. It's a very interesting discussion on racing tactics.

1. Podcasts: Trainer Road-Ask a Cycling Coach, FasCat Cycling, and Empirical Cycling - Super nerdy deep dives, fantastic insight into FTP and VO2. Changed the way I view FTP and testing.
2. Videos: NorCal on YouTube. Tiz Cycling on the web for UCI streams...has all of them even going back a few years.
3. Forums: Here and also the /peloton subr e d d i t for Pro cycling info. The TrainerRoad Forum is easily the best cycling forum right now. They cover everything cycling; racing, gear, fitness, training, all of it.
4. General Web Info: DC Rainmaker for product testing and info, and then tidbits here and there from places like CyclingNews, CyclingTips, CyclingWeekly and those types.

I like CyclingTips podcast for all-around cycling news and tech, and I especially like it's offshoot "Nerd Alert", which skips the bike racing and does deeper dives into specific tech.

If you really want to geek out on bike tech, the "Marginal Gains" podcast is pretty interesting. It frequently (always?) features Josh Portner, formerly from Zipp and now with Silca. He has a ton of knowledge, but the podcast can get a tad slow at times.

Cyclingtips has multiple podcasts. The general one is consistently really good, nerd alert is excellent, and there is a female specific podcast that is good but hit/miss.

The topics, discussion, and personalities/banter all make the podcasts strong.

Dylan Johnson for evidence based tips on training and technique. He does an excellent job of summarizing studies, which are linked in the description under the videos. And when new studies come up sometimes he'll rework/update a topic to cover the new material. So he's not locked into his pet theories about training.

Lanterne Rouge. Maybe the best racing analyst around right now, along with Bob Roll and Chris Horner. LR is incredibly prolific, sometimes churning out a video almost every day analyzing older races. He's added a podcast and this season did more up-to-date commentary on the Giro, TdF and Vuelta.

Bike Fit Adviser. I found his tutorials more useful than anyone else's on this topic.

Possibly too geeky, but Marginal Gains podcast worth considering.
