I think that I'd like something that'd take 4" tires but not more - that way it could do double duty, running skinnier MTB tires on it at other times of the year, and not have it look too awkward with yawning gaps between the fork/stays. I don't know how that'd work in reality, but the versatility would make it easier to justify.

I've only heard great things about them.

So my bike club is hosting a webinar on navigation devices for cyclists. The person giving the presentation (who is a friend of mine BTW) works for a company that makes bike GPS units. He clearly knows his company's unit AND the competition's, so my hope is that he will be as unbiased as he can be.
I think it may be tough for him to be totally unbiased, however.

I would like you to consider the person you replied to when I quoted you.
In Trsnrtr case, he honestly may not have known the history of the bar tape saga.

So sorry to hear about your brother and the difficult situation!
Shot was at 1400 yesterday and I started feeling detectably off by midnight when I got up to pee. By morning it was like a real medium-level flu, minus the cough. Bad muscle and joint symptoms. Suffered through a couple of meetings from 8-10 and then had to go to bed with the down comforter doubled over me and the Headache of the Gods. Now feeling a lot better, but I still like my head is full of insulating foam. Might order some hot and sour soup for supper. Expect to feel fine tomorrow.

Just got word, dads had another heart incident and is back in the hospital. I talked with my mother. He is doing well, and in good spirits. But no visitation due to covid.
Its hard to talk about but I haven't been on good terms with them since well before x mas. Ended up in an argument over the holidays. I feel like a punching bag at a boxing gym.

For some months now I've been scouring the internet for spokes, to build a tubular wheel around a Record hub I got from Trendsetter. This afternoon I needed a wheel, for adjustment purposes on my coupled bike. I want to get it all set up and then put it in its case.
The wheel I grabbed? Yes, that one. Only awaiting a tire.
