Addiction 2021.1

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

So I am not the only one. I had to upgrade to Catalina for my iMac when I was working from home and taking virtual classes to keep my license. Now, Photos often stops responding when I try to drag an image to my desktop. It has other problems as well.

Mrs. rjones28 had to purchase new versions of some key apps. Sad.

Im zwiftless so I can’t help you. My friend loves it and appears to be getting faster. Which reminds me, I need to sabotage his trainer.

Hack into his profile and change his weight to 300 pounds. Problem solved.

Costa Concordia, yes. This version is shorter (I think) than the original.

I guess that's the advantage of the Snap - even at 100% trainer difficulty, it tops out at 15%, so really everything above about 13% feels pretty much the same. I just don't look at the speed, because it's, like, 3 mph. Definitely in 'fall over' range IRL

On the power thing - I see at least 3 different power ratings, depending where I look. For Stage 6 of TdZ,
  • Zwift: Average 195, Max 608
  • Strava: Average 198, Weighted Average 215, Max 697
  • Zwift Power: Average 218, Normalized Power 227
Now, I think maybe Zwift Power is ONLY from the start of Stage 6 till I crossed the line, whereas Zwift and Strava are probably from when I joined the ride with 3 minutes to go till I cooled down after the finish. But Zwift and Strava are looking at the same data.

is it normal for a chain breaker to only last about 4 uses?

Have to replace my chain this week, getting my work space ready last night and my chain breaker has a massive wobble in the pin. Looks like it’s useless now.

Nice. I have a Carhartt jacket for destructive and dirty outdoor activities and winter boat work. It's big and warm and fits over many layers. Love it.

LSS has a pink one.
