Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I speak for @Velo Vol in saying that looks very much like not winter. He's from the quasi-north.

Yesterday I was pedaling along during my year-end extravaganza, and, as I accelerated going downhill, I felt a ripple on my headscarf. wut

So I reached up to feel what was going on and it was not until that moment, seven miles into the ride, that I realized I didn't have my helmet on.

Ive done that twice now. Both times I continued and both times I felt a crash was imminent.

I usually do the Mount Wilson climb on NYD. Today I wasn't sure if anyone was going who I could ride with. Plus, I didn't feel like dealing with the wind and the freezing descent. This guy was on the group gravel ride I posted before Thanksgiving.
