Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Intervals says my FTP just increased 31W to 259. That whole 3 minute max effort WhyFi mentioned works! Had an awesome ride this afternoon, went out and tried to push really hard. The biggest limitation was that the cold air was burning my lungs

Are you sure you know how she'll answer?
She might not give the answer that you want her to.

In addition to becoming a tire and chain hoarder, I have turned in to an Oatly Full Fat hoarder as well. I already had two unopened half gallons at home, but Target had more in stock so I figured I'd grab another. That should keep me in lattes for two or three weeks if I don't come across more before then.

Kudo! I'd love to give it another whirl, but I don't think that I'll even be able to take the Cervelo out tomorrow. We should hit 40° today, if we haven't already, but they roads are pretty messy - we ended up getting 3 or 4 inches yesterday.

I didn't see it either. Machka is within easy reach, but still a long way from Pcad country.

Is either answer a bad answer?

Hypothetically speaking.

Mrs BD and I never monitor each other's expenditures. But big ticket items will raise an eyebrow.

35°C today, as we slide into April. 35-45 is normal, and then it drops back into the 30s, with high humidity for the duration of the summer and fall. Time to get the AC reconnected.

On a couple of occasions my wife asked how much my big 500 f/4 lens cost. I always replied "pricey", and that was that. One day another photographer and I were chatting with both of us and he happened to mention the price of big lenses. Later my wife said "aha, so that's how much they cost". I said "oh well, yeah", knowing actually they cost significantly more. So I'm content that she still really doesn't know.

Put off going to look at/purchase the Circuit. I think 5 is quite a few bikes as it is, you know?

I think 5 is insufficient. It should be n+1 until storage space is exhausted. .

Storage space is indeed the primary concern

When I hung my bikes up, Mrs. LAJ was finally able to count them. I always had one hanging here and there, others packed tightly side by side... Bad move, but all I got is I didn't realize you had that many. Without lying, I answered... Oh yeah.

I’m just puzzled. So when I got the new coupler I triple checked about how much I should torque it down. 4nm is the recommended torque straight from Ritchey. Because I am paranoid I set my wrench to 3nm when I put it on the other day. It never stopped tightening. So when I realized it was never going to allow me to torque it I stopped and checked to make sure the clamp was tight and frame wasn’t rattling.
Today was just double checking everything, plan on riding it tomorrow. Also adjusted the seat height. The Clamp does worry me a little bit so I set my torque wrench at 2nm just to see if I could get the wrench to click. Nope still tightens. The two lips are not suppose to touch so I stopped this time before they do but still it’s a weird set up. I’m sure the more I ride it the more confidence I will have in it.

Yea I cut the actual bar tape angled wrong on that side, So I just put an extra piece for safety. Didn’t realize how bad it looked lol.

I realize I am at a point in the garage where merely setting up the workstand is a chore requiring me to move bikes around. To be fair, it's mostly NOT my stuff that's blocking everything.

I can see 7 bikes, from my desk. Winter storage. There is one more downstairs by the back door.
